Knapps is the BEST restaurant in proctor. The atmosphere is extremely welcoming and overall incredible. They serve food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If you are ever contemplating on where to eat, go to knapps!!! My grandma, grandpa, brother and I have been going here for almost 7 years now. Every single time we visit we are greeted by waitresses we have known for years. Knapps will forever be my favorite restaurant
I ordered a "big breakfast" combo which was SOS over biscuits, 2 eggs over easy, bacon, sausage, and ham. I ate most of it. I thought the bacon was the best, and the ham was good too, the Sos wasn't the best but it's not the worst. I was going to go to wafflestop across the street but I didn't want to wait. I got in right away at Knapp's.
Two words: Cobb Salad I love a Cobb salad. Today I walked into Knapps craving one but having no idea what I was in for. I have had my share of bad Cobbs in my 55 years. This was NOT one of them. It was delicious from first to last bite. Wow! They nailed it. Fresh quality ingredients make a difference! The waitstaff was a man with lots of energy and kindness. When I asked for an alternative dressing outside from bleu cheese he suggested 1000 island, as they make it fresh in-house. Then he said, I'll put it on the side in case you are not a fan and we want to switch it out". I loved it, and loved his ability to make me feel like a welcome customer. Thanks Knapps for a great experience and darn good Cobb!!
Came back for breakfast and it hit the spot! I wanted basic good breakfast food and after walking around all of the other restaurants in Proctor and not finding anything on the menu I wanted, Knapps came through. I like diner style hash browns and they made theirs crunchy and great. The poached eggs on the Benedict were perfectly done, the hollandaise was surprisingly good. Also the only place in Proctor you can find a poached egg. Read asked for bacon extra crispy, and they completely delivered! All of the staff was so attentive to us even if we weren't at their table section. We will be coming back here more often.
This review if for Knapp's Lounge. Love the lounge at Knapp's - old school - small - intimate - a place to come for strong drinks and solid food menu. You come here to sit with friends - catch a game, or listen to some tunes. What you don't come here for is pretension - hipsters - or overly complicated drinks. Much like Terry's down the road - you will have your cadre of regulars, but the place is rarely overly packed, so you can grab a seat - sip a stiff drink - and even get breakfast at 8 PM at night - I mean what's more to ask for. Solid prices - comfortable booths - and a bit of an old school vibe - can't say no to Knapp's Lounge!
